Watch expert Nicholas Watson is an English-Canadian medievalist, literary critic, religious historian, and author. He is Henry B. and Anne M. Cabot Professor of English at Harvard University and chair of the Harvard English Department. His research has been supported by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the American Council of Learned Societies.

He has authored a number of books, essays, and reviews on medieval studies topics, particularly the writings of Julian of Norwich, in which his approach has been influenced by vernacular theology and the rise of mystical and visionary writing. In addition to his academic interests, Watson is the bassist for South Brooklyn art rock band Battle of the Camel and a member of the Glue Stick Collective. He is also a founder of Team AngelWolf, an organisation that aims to build an inclusive global community for people with disabilities by encouraging them to take control of their own health and make fitness a family goal.

In his current role as equipment manager for Illinois State football, Watson oversees the ordering, organizing, and distribution of all athletic gear for Redbird players and coaches. He also manages the daily operations and administration of the sports equipment room at the university. He has a bachelor of business (economics and sustainable enterprise) from Auckland University of Technology.
