The National Museum of Iceland is a great place to start. It’s located in the city center and takes visitors from the very beginning of Iceland’s history all the way to present-day. It features a number of interactive exhibits that allow visitors to learn about Iceland’s Viking and Vikings history. There are also bingo cards for kids to take part in.
Another great museum is the Perlan Museum. This is a natural wonder of Iceland and you can visit it on foot or by car. This museum features a real ice tunnel that you can walk through and also lets you experience a Northern Lights show called Arora. It’s a great alternative to outdoor tours when you don’t have enough time or daylight to see all of the attractions.
If you’re looking for a more interactive museum, you can also check out the Arbaer Open Air Museum, which is just outside of Reykjavik. It has traditional icelandic houses built out of turf, and it’s open daily during the summer months from 1PM to 5PM.
If you’re looking for quaint streets and cozy cafes, you’ll find them in Reykjavik’s city center. The street is called Laugavegur, and it’s lined with restaurants and clothing stores. It’s also the main shopping street in the city.
